Attention K-Mart Shoppers

Its 10:00 am on 12/3/07: For Sale By Owner signs are popping up all over the place. Owners have become educated and empowered by tons of information from home repair shows to Internet sites to basic common sense and real experiences. For various reasons you have decided to sell your home in this current market. You feel that a Realtor/Marketing Consultant is not needed. Okay, but, before you decided to sell your home on your own consider answering these questions:

1. Can you remain objective? If your home is not positioned correctly can you handle feedback negative or positive?

2. Are you up to the hassle? Between multiple offerings - contracts, disclosures, addendum's and settlement are you prepared to deal with that type of situation?

3. How much time do you have? Purchasers want to view homes when they want to view homes. It's a realistic expectation will you be unreasonable?

How did you respond to the questions mentioned above? Well, you have something to think about. Let's face it, everyone wants to save a few dollars but sometimes you have to hire someone with the expertise to make your situation more manageable. If you have been trying to sell your home and its been on the market for more than 100 days consider a Realtor/Marketing Consultant, you'll be glad you did!

Our instructor presented & knew the subject matter well. The class was very informative and down to earth. I really learned a lot and I'm brainstorming different marketing strategies. Additionally the Foundations for Success classes gave me the necessary building blocks to start grow and maintain my business. It takes time but eventually I'll get there one building block at a time.

Just Getting Started

It's 6:55 pm on 10/30/07 - I'm in the office creating this blog to inform potential blogger about the transition from a blue collar (bus driver) to a white collar (realtor) career. So far the journey is worth it. Developing a blog site is great. I'm enjoying the challenge of starting a business from the beginning. My goal is to accomplish something each day no matter how small it may be i.e. creating a blog site, or monitoring my Coldwell bankers website. Just having fun and learning along the way. Stay tuned more to come.
